重點速覽:Hong Kong Salaries Tax = min(progressive tax, standard tax) − 100% tax rebate (cap HK$3,000). Net chargeable income = income − allowances (basic 132,000; married 264,000; 130,000 per child; 50,000 per dependent parent aged 60+) − deductions (MPF cap 18,000, etc.). The progressive tax charges every HK$50,000 slice at 2%, 6%, 10%, 14%, and 17% on the amount above 200,000. The standard rate charges net income (allowances only) at 15% on the first HK$5M and 16% above. This calculator gives an estimate; the actual assessment follows the IRD notice of assessment.
計算公式
Net chargeable = income − allowances − deductions
Progressive tax = Σ(each HK$50k slice × rate)
Standard tax = net income × 15% (first 5M) / 16% (above)
Tax payable = min(progressive, standard) − rebate (cap 3,000)
$$N = I - A - D$$$$T_p = \sum b_i r_i$$$$T_s = 0.15\,N\ (\le 5M)\ /\ 0.16\,N$$$$T = \min(T_p, T_s) - R$$使用說明

Is the rebate given every year?
The government often grants a one-off tax rebate in the Budget (100%, cap HK$3,000 for 2025/26). It varies each year; please refer to the latest Budget.
