FAQ
Why round pavers up?
Edges and corners need cut pieces and you cannot buy half a paver, so round up and add 5–10% wastage.
Should joints be counted?
Paver joints are usually very narrow (about 2–5 mm), negligible against paver size. Coarse-sand jointing may leave small allowance.
What is typical installation cost?
In Hong Kong paver labour is about HK$40–100/m², depending on ground flatness, paver size and difficulty. Enter 0 to compute material only.
Are large pavers always cheaper?
Not necessarily. Large pavers cost more each but fewer pieces and faster install; small pavers are cheaper each but more pieces and higher labour. Compare total cost with the calculator.
How much wastage to reserve?
5–10%, more for complex layouts or many cuts.
