Concrete Cost Calculator
Enter concrete volume and rate per m³ to estimate material cost, including pumping and wastage, for project quotes.
Input Data
Results
At a glance:Concrete cost = volume × (1 + wastage%) × unit rate (material) + volume × pump fee (if any). Rate varies with strength grade (e.g. C30/C35), haul distance and market; pumping is per m³ or per shift. Small batches often have a minimum load (e.g. 4.5 m³), charged separately. This calculator covers only concrete delivery and pumping — not formwork, rebar, labour or compaction.
Formula
Material cost = volume × (1 + wastage%) × rate
Total cost = material cost + volume × pump fee
$$C_m = V(1+w) r$$$$C = C_m + V p$$How to Use
- Enter the concrete volume (m³).
- Enter the unit rate (HK$/m³).
- Set the wastage % and pump fee.
- The tool outputs material cost and total cost.
Case Studies
Slab pour
10 m³, 800, 5%, 120.
Material 8,400, pump 1,200, total 9,600.
Chute small batch
6 m³, 750, 8%, 0.
Material about 4,860, no pump, total 4,860.
FAQ
How to estimate the rate?
Ask the ready-mix plant, depending on strength grade and haul distance; peak season and remote sites are higher, so take a quote midpoint.
Minimum load?
Most plants start at 4.5 m³; below that is charged at the minimum, which small projects must include.
